Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Location: Neptune, New Jersey
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a Telemetry/Step-Down unit within an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry monitoring skills, experience caring for patients with complex medical conditions, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify changes requiring clinical intervention.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions according to physician orders.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a telemetry-focused environment.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Experience in Telemetry and Step-Down patient care required.
• Acute care hospital experience required.
• Preferred 4 years of Telemetry nursing experience.

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License.
• BLS (AHA) Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Verification.
• Stroke Education/CEU (4 Contact Hours).

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Critical thinking and sound clinical judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple patients in a dynamic acute care setting.
