What You'll Do
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room setting
- Assess patient needs, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Delegate tasks appropriately and manage resources effectively
- Educate patients and families pre- and post-operatively
- Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and compliance standards
- Document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years OR or surgical experience
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and delegation skills
Preferred:
- Leadership or supervisory experience in an OR setting
- Additional certifications in perioperative nursing or related specialties
