Nuts 'n Berries Neighborhood Market | Brookhaven, GA
25–30 hours/week | $22–$25/hour | Weekends required

Can you have an intelligent conversation about magnesium, probiotics, digestive enzymes, adaptogens, protein powders, herbs or other natural-health products?

Do you enjoy learning why one product, ingredient or formulation might be a better fit for one person than another?

And, just as importantly, do you genuinely enjoy talking with people and helping them make sense of all of it?

If you've worked with supplements, natural foods, wellness products or another health-focused specialty retail environment—and you're looking for meaningful work without necessarily wanting a traditional 40-hour corporate job—we'd like to meet you.

Nuts 'n Berries is looking for an experienced Natural Health & Supplement Specialist to join our small team in Brookhaven.

This is not an entry-level natural-health position.

We're happy to teach you our brands, systems and approach. But we're looking for someone who already brings meaningful experience with natural health, supplements, wellness products or consultative specialty retail.

People walk through our doors with questions about sleep, stress, digestion, nutrition, ingredients, supplements and healthier food choices.

We listen. We ask questions. We educate. We help customers understand their options and make their own informed choices.

We don't believe in overwhelming people or making health intimidating. Some of our customers have been studying natural health for decades. Others are buying their first supplement.

Our job is to meet them where they are.

This Is More Than a Supplement-Sales Job

We're a small independent store. There isn't a separate employee for every function.

You might spend 20 minutes helping a customer understand several different forms of magnesium.

Then receive a delivery.

Then ring up customers.

Then notice an empty shelf and fill it.

Then answer the phone.

Then break down boxes.

Then help another customer figure out where to begin.

At Nuts 'n Berries, everything is everyone's job.

We're looking for someone who enjoys the customer-facing side of natural health but also understands that excellent retail requires everyone to contribute to the operation of the store.

The Person We're Looking For

You're experienced enough to walk into a busy retail environment and remain calm when five things happen at once.

You notice what needs to be done without waiting for someone to give you a list.

You can prioritize.

When two priorities conflict and you're not sure which matters more, you ask.

When something goes wrong, your first instinct is to help solve it.

When you make a mistake, you own it and correct it.

You can receive direction without taking it personally.

You can disagree respectfully, communicate your concern and then move forward.

You don't need someone standing over you to remain productive.

You show up when you're scheduled and understand that in a small team, people are genuinely depending on you.

You enjoy learning and recognize that no one ever knows everything there is to know about natural health.

And you genuinely like people.

What You'll Do

Help customers solve problems.
Listen, ask thoughtful questions and use your product knowledge to help customers understand the options available to them.

Develop deep product knowledge.
Continue learning about supplements, foods, herbs, ingredients, formulations and new products. Share what you learn with customers and coworkers.

Build customer relationships.
Get to know our regulars, remember what they're working on and become someone they trust and look forward to seeing.

Sell through service.
We aren't interested in high-pressure selling. We want someone who understands that excellent recommendations, genuine relationships and strong product knowledge naturally create sales.

Keep the store running.
Run register, receive deliveries, stock products, merchandise, answer phones, clean, organize, check dates and complete the everyday work required to operate an independent retail store.

Notice things.
Identify out-of-stocks, customer requests, merchandising opportunities and operational problems—and communicate them.

Be part of the team.
Jump in when someone needs help, regardless of whose "job" something technically is.

Experience We're Looking For

3+ years of customer-facing professional experience required.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

• Natural-food or supplement stores
• Vitamin and supplement retail
• Health and wellness businesses
• Functional or integrative wellness environments
• Nutrition or health coaching
• Specialty grocery
• Fitness and wellness
• CBD/hemp or other education-driven specialty retail
• Specialty retail involving significant product knowledge and customer education

Prior supplement or natural-health experience is strongly preferred.

If your professional background is in an adjacent field, you should already have meaningful personal or professional knowledge of supplements, nutrition or natural health.

We don't expect you to know everything.

We do expect you to come in with a foundation we can build upon.

Compensation & Schedule

$22–$25/hour, based on experience

Approximately 25–30 hours per week , generally across 3–4 days.

Weekend availability is required.

This can be an excellent position for an experienced professional who wants challenging, meaningful work without wanting or needing a traditional five-day, 40-hour schedule.

This is an active retail position. You'll spend significant time standing, walking, stocking and moving merchandise in addition to working directly with customers.
