Automation Integrator II

Location Kermit, TX Schedule 14/14 rotation Job Type W2 contract Duration 6 months (with possibility of extension) Benefits Health, Dental, Vision, 3% matching 401k Responsibilities Design, implement, and support automation and control systems Improve efficiency, reliability, and safety through automation solutions Install, test, and troubleshoot PLC, RTU, HMI, and SCADA systems Develop control logic, system architecture, and documentation Support field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical) Configure industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, DNP3) Collaborate with operations and engineering teams Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical support Ensure compliance with company standards, cybersecurity, and regulations Maintain records of system changes and commissioning activities Support projects, startups, upgrades, and expansions Contribute to alarm management and reporting improvements Provide after-hours support when required Requirements Degree in Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of industrial automation experience Experience with PLC programming, SCADA, HMI, and industrial networks Knowledge of instrumentation, process control, and technical drawings Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Experience in upstream oil and gas operations Familiarity with SCADA platforms (Ignition, Wonderware, AVEVA, etc.) Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and wireless systems Automation-related certifications Work Environment Field-based role with frequent travel to operational sites Work in varying weather and industrial conditions Exposure to active oil and gas facilities Physical activity including lifting and field inspections Key Competencies Safety and technical expertise Automation system integration Troubleshooting and diagnostics Process optimization and reliability Team collaboration and continuous improvement #J-18808-Ljbffr Airswift
