Sr. Financial Analyst, Corporate FP&A

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate FP&A team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of FP&A. This role sits at the center of how Twist plans and reports. You will build the models and reports that run our monthly close and forecast cycles, pull together inputs from across the business, and turn them into clear read-outs for the FP&A team, business leaders, and the CFO. The work spans all three financial statements, not just the P&L. You’ll also help us find practical ways to use AI to make the team faster and our analysis sharper.You will also be the team’s OneStream power user, owning the system and leading how we improve it. It is a high-visibility seat with broad exposure to how the company plans, reports, and makes decisions as we scale.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuild: models, reports, and systemsOwn production of the corporate close and forecast cycle, including scenario setup, allocations, consolidation, and the reporting packageServe as the team's OneStream power user, keeping the system reliable and the team productiveBuild the reporting infrastructure the team uses to review and challenge rolling forecast inputs from the businessStandardize close and forecast read-outs for the FP&A team, business leaders, and the CFO, and support ELT and Board reporting materialsBuild and maintain three-statement financial models, tied out and review-ready before they reach leadershipLead continuous improvement of our tools and processes: turn feedback from the team's monthly post-mortems into a prioritized roadmap, and deliver the changesSynthesize: inputs and signals into insightTurn forecasts and actuals into clear analysis of variances, risks, and trends against planSupport quarterly earnings preparation and benchmarking analysisPresent findings directly to business partners and senior finance leadership, including the CFOSupport ad hoc analysis as neededWho We’re Looking ForYou lead with business judgment, built on a strong grasp of financial principles. Position Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field3+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modelingStrong understanding of all three financial statements and how they connectAdvanced Excel modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or similar ERP systemsHands-on experience using AI tools to speed up analysis, modeling, or reporting, and curiosity about where else they can helpUnderstanding of how data flows between ERP, planning systems, and financial modelsAbility to synthesize information from many sources and explain what it means to finance and non-finance audiences, including senior leadershipExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to partner across teams to deliver resultsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlinesAbility to manage projects and implement new business planning processesNice to Have:Experience with OneStream or another planning / EPM systemCPA or MBAExperience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Power BI or TableauBiotech or manufacturing industry experienceAbout Twist BioscienceTwist Bioscience synthesizes genes from scratch, known as “writing” DNA. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above.
