Record Center Specialist

Job Summary

The position involves performing physical tasks such as kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending forward frequently throughout shifts. The primary responsibilities include moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, and totes, which can weigh between 24 lbs and over 100 lbs. Employees will handle these items manually and using hand carts.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Manually lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• Lift and carry boxes weighing between 10-100 lbs regularly without assistance.
• Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
• Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including navigating inclines, stairs, and changes in walking surface/elevation.
• Read and write in English.
• Read labels and process incoming and outgoing orders using a proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.
• Operate a handheld scanner.
• Climb and balance on ladders.
• Load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling aids.
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
• Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks requiring manual lifting, carrying, and moving of boxes.
• Capability to operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
• Comfortable working on uneven and concrete surfaces.
• Ability to climb ladders and balance.
