Rental Assistant Coordinator/Yard Coordinator

South Florida Caterpillar dealer is seeking a qualified and motivated Assistant Rental Coordinator / Yard Coordinator to support operations within our heavy construction equipment rental division.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and proficient computer skills. Prior experience or knowledge of the construction industry and heavy equipment is strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to the Rental Coordinator in daily operations
• Process rental contracts, transactions, and invoicing accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment and attachments
• Conduct regular inventory scans and audits
• Ensure proper organization, cleanliness, and safety of the equipment yard
• Operate and relocate heavy equipment as required to designated locations
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional customer service

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate heavy construction equipment
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the rental industry or a related field preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

This position requires a dependable and detail-oriented individual who can balance operational responsibilities with a strong commitment to customer service and safety.
