Field Safety SpecialistWe are GROWING and adding to our already amazing team!The Field Safety Specialist is a field-based role responsible for supporting and reinforcing our site safety program across active structural steel erection projects. This position focuses on maintaining safe job sites through field inspections, direct engagement with crews, and consistent reinforcement of safety standards and OSHA compliance.This role is highly visible in the field and works closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Managers, and subcontractors to identify hazards, support safe work practices, and help prevent incidents before they occur.The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in high-risk construction environments and is confident working in active job sites with multiple trades.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular job site safety walks, inspections, and audits across active steel erection projectsIdentify unsafe conditions and behaviors and ensure timely corrective actionSupport enforcement of safety standards and OSHA regulationsMaintain a strong visible presence on job sites to reinforce safe work practicesSupport implementation of controls through Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planningAssist field teams in developing practical solutions to reduce risk exposureAssist in incident, near-miss, and unsafe condition investigations, including gathering field information, documentation, and witness inputSupport root cause analysis and corrective action trackingHelp identify trends and recurring hazards across projectsWork closely with the Director of Safety & Risk and field leadership to ensure alignment on safety expectationsCommunicate hazards and recommendations clearly and professionally across all levelsCoordinate with subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety requirementsPromote a strong, proactive safety culture in the fieldExperience2+ years of construction safety or field experienceStrong preference for experience in structural steel or high-risk construction environmentsComfortable working on active, fast-paced job sites with multiple tradesOSHA 30-Hour Construction (or ability to obtain)First Aid / CPR / AEDAbility and desire to travel in and out of state up to 70%Why You'll Love This RoleCompetitive salary (commensurate with experience) up to $75KCompany vehicle + fuel card or stipend, and all travel expenses paidComprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and 401(k)Direct influence over safety culture and risk mitigation strategy across the organizationA collaborative, values-driven leadership teamLong-term career growth within a financially stable, well-established companyIf you're ready to be hands-on in the field—working alongside experienced crews, identifying risks, and reinforcing safe work practices—this is your opportunity to make a real impact on job site safety every day.Apply today and take the next step in building your career in construction safety.
