Toddler / Preschool Teacher

Montessori School of San Clemente is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dependable Toddler/Preschool Teacher to join our growing team. Position Summary

The Toddler/Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, caring, and engaging classroom environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, organized, and committed to supporting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) core units required.
• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool.
• Infant/Toddler units are a plus for toddler classroom candidates.
• Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass all required background clearances and health screenings.
• Strong English communication skills; bilingual (Spanish or Chinese) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Supervise children at all times while maintaining California licensing regulations and ratios.
• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's growth and development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Encourage independence, respect, and confidence through positive guidance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Observe and document children's progress and communicate with families as needed.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to support classroom success.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
