Technical SpecialistTDOT seeks a Technical Specialist to assist the Professional Services Division with invoicing, customer service, and relationship management.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, exercising effective listening skills, providing prompt responses, maintaining complete and accurate documentation, and communicating effectively.Foster professional relationships with the Divisions and the Regions to promote accountability and consistency, further partnering relationships, and minimize impacts to program stability.Assist with coordinating consultant invoices with Contract Managers to ensure invoices are formatted consistently, reviewed within the timeframe allotted to meet the Section’s performance metrics, and coordinated for any concerns or questions.Create a transmittal document for TDOT Finance to indicate that an invoice has been reviewed and is approved for payment.Ensure all deliverables are accomplished in alignment with the Consultant and Contract Services Quality Management Program for the purpose of reducing errors, ensuring consistently high levels of quality and achievement, mitigating risk to the Department, and establishing a track record of success.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degreeProfessional Experience:Minimum 1 year of experience processing/developing invoicesLocation RequirementsCandidate must be local. - No preferenceAdditional Location Details (City, State): - This position is remote/WFH - Monday - Friday, planned 7:00am - 3:30pm CST (flexible)Candidate Location (city,state) - NAOnboarding Requirements to Complete Upon AcceptanceMinimum Verification Requirements - Please complete the following verification with Accurate upon candidate's selection.The TN Combined Counties & Statewide Search Package should be ordered from Accurate to include:Address History LocatorNational Criminal Record SearchSex Offender RegistryCriminal County & Statewide Search - 7 year search, based on residential address historyCriminal Federal Search - 7 year search, based on residential address historyGlobal WatchAKAs - Search current name and all additional namesA 5-Panel Drug Screen must also be ordered for any candidates accepted to a TRANSPORTATION TECHNICIAN 3 (TMC Tech III) requisition in Region 4.
