Nursing: Registered Nurse (Rn) - Progressive Care Unit (Pcu) - Travel

Job Overview Travel Stepdown RN – 13‑week assignment in Jackson, Wyoming. Responsibilities Provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities. Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, with a focus on cardiac care. Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients. Observe patient, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of patient’s cardiac status and response to interventions. Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies. Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients. Initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN. Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Physical Requirements Remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Mental & Sensory Requirements Coping with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Work under close supervision occasionally, as well as independently from other personnel. Possess visual acuity and effective communication. Technical/Motor Skills Perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals.
