Job Title Student Nurse - East Progressive Care Unit Department East | Progressive Care Unit-JM Responsibilities Responsibilities are moderately technical or complex and have a high degree of responsibility and judgment. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, ability to work in a professional environment. Ability to work with and communicate effectively to direct activities to other students’ employees. Requires significant amount of specialized training or experience. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values. The Student Nurse is responsible for providing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as supervised and directed by the Registered Nurse. Care is provided in collaboration with the patient, family, and other members of the patient focused care team. Overall responsibilities are to assist the team in meeting patient care needs. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled college/university nursing student Required Qualifications For Hire: Nursing student enrolled in a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program; Completion of a nursing health assessment course or nursing clinical; Strong customer service, organizational and time management skills; Successful completion of a one-day student nurse training course required after hire.
