Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg in Fort Defiance, Arizona. This travel assignment starts on 09/21/2026 and runs for 16 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,172 to $2,198 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12). Unit is a short-term acute care hospital medical-surgical setting caring for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult, geriatric, and pediatric Med-Surg patients on a 20-bed unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; monitor clinical status and respond to changes
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments; monitor for adverse effects
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in rounds and care planning
- Prepare patients and families for discharge; provide appropriate education and resources
- May float to other departments within scope and assist with flu immunization clinics as needed
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record; adhere to unit and facility policies

Requirements
- Current registered nurse license in Arizona
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 3 years Med-Surg experience; 1 year pediatric experience required
- Comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients; able to work 12-hour night shifts
- Flexible to work weekends and holidays; may be asked to float to other qualified areas
- Ability to thrive in a 20-bed MSU setting and manage a typical inpatient load
