Sr. Full Stack Developer

Senior Full-Stack Developer (Database-Focused)
We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with deep expertise in back-end application development and relational databases to join a fast-paced engineering team supporting enterprise applications. This role is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys designing scalable applications, optimizing database performance, and building reliable APIs, while contributing across the full technology stack.

Although this is a full-stack position, the primary focus is on back-end development and database engineering. Experience with database modernization and migration projects, particularly Sybase to SQL Server, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade full-stack applications.
• Build scalable back-end services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, develop, and optimize relational database schemas for transactional and analytical workloads.
• Develop advanced SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and other database objects.
• Participate in database modernization initiatives, including Sybase to SQL Server migration efforts.
• Build modern front-end components using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop and maintain microservices and distributed applications.
• Optimize application and database performance through query tuning, indexing, and performance analysis.
• Create technical documentation, data models, flow diagrams, and system design documentation.
• Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to development team members.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, schema migrations, and release management.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Advanced experience with relational databases including Oracle and SQL Server.
• Expert-level SQL development, query optimization, stored procedures, and database performance tuning.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience building front-end applications using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and MQ.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD practices, and Agile development methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C# or .NET development.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration platforms.
• Experience with caching technologies such as Redis.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry.
• Experience supporting database migration or modernization initiatives, particularly Sybase to SQL Server.
