Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care delivery for oncology patient populations using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on identified nursing diagnoses and patient responses to health problems
• Utilize knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to facilitate safe transitions through the healthcare encounter, minimizing preventable complications or delays
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
• Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient condition, and staff competencies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of current, hands-on Oncology RN experience
• Active Texas RN license or active Compact RN license
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Experience with EPIC Beacon and Chemotherapy Infusion
• Oncology-specific skills checklist, resume, and two supervisory references from within the last year required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Broad experience across multiple oncology sub-specialties or patient populations
• Familiarity with public health system environments and health equity-focused care delivery
