Master Scheduler

We are seeking a Master Scheduler to join our manufacturing team onsite in Sylmar, CA. In this role, you will develop and maintain production schedules, optimize capacity, collaborate cross-functionally to ensure material and production readiness, and drive on-time delivery performance. This role reports to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain rolling production schedules (e.g., 1216 weeks).
• Translate sales forecasts and firm customer orders into finite-capacity schedules.
• Analyze production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and run "what-if" scenarios.
• Balance loads and set precise production time fences to maximize resource utilization.
• Partner with Procurement for material availability, Production for scheduling feasibility, and Sales to provide accurate delivery lead times.
• Monitor and improve critical supply chain metrics, such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF), schedule adherence, and capacity utilization.
• Adjust schedules in response to unforeseen events (e.g., material delays, equipment breakdowns) and develop proactive recovery plans.
• Ensure high data integrity and hygiene within enterprise planning systems (Bills of Materials, lead times, planning parameters).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration is strongly recommended.
• 3+ years of experience in production planning, materials control, or scheduling within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Advanced Excel are mandatory.
• Professional credentials from industry bodies, such as ASCM/APICS, are highly desirable.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 10% of base salary.
