Functions as department head with responsibility to assist maintenance employees to engage in maintaining, repairing and operating equipment. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years in healthcare field PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 10 years of supervisory or management experience in hospital of over 125 beds, or similar experience. JCAHO and Life Safety Code experience. Knowledge of State Hospital licensing standards. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: N/A PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Professional Engineering Certification (PE) of Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Organization Description Baptist Health System has more than 120 years history of caring for our community and making a positive difference.
