About the Role:
The Wonder Years Learning Center in Wilmington, MA is looking for a nurturing and passionate Afternoon Infant Teacher or Assistant Teacher to join their team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the most formative stage of a child's life. This position is perfect for an early childhood professional wanting part time employment, early childhood college students seeking experience or an after school position for someone interested in learning more about the field of early child education and care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, hands-on care for infants in a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Support daily infant routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and sensory play
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and physical development
- Communicate daily updates and milestones to parents and guardians
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally stimulating classroom
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to support individualized infant care plans
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations for infant care
Requirements:
- Experience working with infants in a childcare, daycare, or early education setting preferred
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework or degree is a plus
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for infant care
- Ability to work afternoon hours reliably and consistently
- Strong communication skills with both children and parents
- Current or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Currently residing in the USA
- Must pass required background checks per Massachusetts childcare licensing standards
