Preventative Maintenance Technician

Job TitleLocation: Maryville, TNHours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (M-F)Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEssential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Engaging in the preventive maintenance of all machinery i.e.; fluid changes, filter changes, cleaning, trouble-shooting & preventative maintenance (PM) of machinery Identify & replace worn components before mechanical breakdownMaintain preventative maintenance readings on all equipmentAssisting technicians or mechanics as neededPerform Ball bar testing on any/all CNC equipment Maintain Tools, equipment and record keeping for performing PM'sWork in all aspects of Facility MaintenanceQualificationsDuties require decision making in regard to trouble shooting (problem identification) and the proper selection of solutions to problems not normally encountered; employees must determine appropriate actions to be taken to achieve required resultsExperience with and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentMust have mechanical ability and aptitudeMust have prior maintenance experience working on large equipment either mechanically or electronicallyMust be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment Willing to work any shift and overtime as requiredAbility to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair workMust be highly safety consciousPosition involves exposure to high voltage electricityMust possess valid DOT card and S&W fork truck license.Must be able to successfully demonstrate mechanical ability through a comprehensive interview processEducation And/Or ExperienceHigh School/GED, Degree requirements, prior experience in a manufacturing environment:Must be able to read, write and interpret English languageBasic computer skills preferredTraining RequirementsComplete all company mandated training as required Participate in and follow all company initiatives Must successfully complete all technical, administrative, and interpersonal training programs to satisfy Participative Work Team objectives and become a multi-skilled team memberPhysical DemandsContinuous: standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing/pulling, and reaching.
