Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician (Onsite) Primary Location: Libertyville, Illinois V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician for our premier client in Libertyville, Illinois. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Technical Requirements and Certifications » Technical School Certification or post-secondary schooling preferred. Education and Experience » High school diploma or GED required with completion of Technical School Certification preferred. Familiarity CNC machine operation strongly preferred or prior experience working with highly complicated levels of equipment. Minimum of one (1) year in a manufacturing or service environment with hands on experience. Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or other major controls preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in small group situations to other employees in the organization. Basic competence in Microsoft Office. Ability to apply basic concepts of math and writing. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Develop and maintain maintenance programs for all production equipment including daily, monthly and annual plans. Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment, completes basic repairs and coordinates outside vendors as required. Maintains inventory of critical components to ensure minimum downtime during repairs. Works collaboratively with other staff and departments and contributes to a collegial, professional, and respectful environment. Trains machinists and operators in daily maintenance duties. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability. Follows all applicable ISO standards and safety protocols including use of appropriate PPE. Performs other duties as assigned. Interested?
