Physical Therapist Assistant PRN Location: Boonsboro, Maryland Company: South Mountain Rehab Center Company Description: South Mountain Rehab Center is located in historic Boonsboro and is nestled at the foot of South Mountain, between Hagerstown and Frederick. Our facility provides short-term inpatient rehab services, skilled nursing care, and long-term care services to our residents. Position Summary: We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). As a PTA, you will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements: Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT) Currently registered/licensed in applicable State One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail Specific Job Requirements: Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate Liaison with patients, families, and support departments to adequately plan for patient needs Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department Essential Functions: Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients under direction of the supervising PT Chart appropriately and timely Utilize therapy software accurately Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients Assist in the evacuation of patients Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team Salary: $30 - $35 HOURLY Job Type: PER_DIEM #J-18808-Ljbffr
