Seasonal Ice Cream Server - NoHo

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring seasonal, part-time Scoopers to join our NoHo ice cream and frozen yogurt shop in Manhattan, NY. The position is seasonal, tied to peak summer months, with an end date of 10/07/2026 unless otherwise specified. Seasonal Part‑Time Scoopers earn $17.00 per hour plus an average of $7 per hour in tips. Our team members must be available to work at least three shifts per week and be available to work past 12 a.m. Job Responsibilities Greet every guest warmly, with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality. Serve all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards. Act as a Van Leeuwen ambassador, educating guests on flavors, ingredients, and special offerings. Prepare all fresh, house‑made menu items daily. Accurately operate the Square POS system for seamless guest checkout. Become familiar with and follow all food‑safety procedures. Maintain store cleanliness and follow proper sanitation guidelines. Complete daily tasks, including stocking, inventory, and cleaning. Follow Van Leeuwen’s established safety, grooming, uniform, and conduct standards. Prepare toppings by cutting and processing fruit to ensure quality and consistency. Operate frozen yogurt machines, including filling, basic maintenance, and opening/closing procedures. Ensure cleanliness and organization of equipment and workspace, including machine cleaning and topping restocking. Job Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Genuine passion for ice cream and desserts. Possess dexterity to prepare and serve all menu items in accordance with service and build‑out standards. Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly. Stand for extended periods of time regularly. Walk up and down stairs regularly. Stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods of time. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Available to work 3 days a week (including nights and weekends past 12 a.m.). Reliable, on time and ready for every shift. Food handler’s certificate required.
