In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.Why Join Us?Innovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.Collaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.Impactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.Responsibilities:Coordinate across the enterprise to ensure network security devices are being monitored and are receiving or generating alertsIdentify security risks and exposures, determine causes of security violations, and suggest procedures to halt future incidents and improve securityPerform network traffic analysis utilizing raw packet data, net flow, IDS, IPS and custom sensor output, as it pertains to the cyber security of communications networksDevice monitoring of tiered alerts for all operational networksMaintain documentation for processes and proceduresCreate incident reports providing both high level and in-depth details for investigationsLead investigations and mentor junior analystsDevelop training pipeline and brown bag sessions for team cross trainingWork Environment:Location: On-Site – Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, DCTravel Requirements: MinimalWorking Hours: StandardMinimum Qualifications:Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance8 years of Incident Handler/Incident Response experienceRequires ability to lead cyber investigation and brief updates to customer and team leadRequires current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, CICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)Requires current DoD 8570 CSSP- Analyst certification (CEH, CFR, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER)Basic Compensation:$149,400 – 224,100 (This range is for Washington, DC only)The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
