Associate Photographer

The Opportunity Gildan is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Photographer / Videographer Specialist to create compelling visual content across our portfolio of brands. As consumer engagement continues to shift toward video-first platforms, this role will play a critical part in expanding and elevating our product storytelling through photography, videography, livestreaming, and social media content production. This position is responsible for producing high-quality photography and video assets that support e-commerce, digital marketing, social media, packaging, retail, and brand colabs. The role encompasses PDP on-model and off-model photography, PDP product video, social content creation, editorial photography, packaging photography, livestream production, and emerging video formats designed to drive engagement across all customer touchpoints. The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller with deep expertise in photography, video production, lighting, composition, motion capture, and post-production workflows. As demand for video content continues to grow across Gildan's brands and channels, this individual will help shape and scale our visual production capabilities while partnering closely with photography managers, stylists and post-production specialists to deliver best-in-class creative assets. This is a fully onsite role based in our photography studio and office, five days per week. The Photographer / Videographer Specialist reports directly to the Photo Studio Production Lead. The Role Capture high-quality on-model and off-model photography and video content for e-commerce, marketing, social media, packaging, retail, and brand colabs. Lead the creation of PDP product videos, social-first content, behind-the-scenes content, lifestyle video, motion assets, and livestream productions. Collaborate with producers, art directors, stylists, and creative teams to execute the desired visual direction across both photography and video projects. Help evolve Gildan's visual content strategy by identifying new opportunities for video storytelling, social engagement, and emerging content formats. Support growing business demands for short-form video content across platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, livestream channels, and other digital marketing initiatives. Responsibilities Photography & Videography Produce high-quality photography and video assets across all apparel categories, including basics, activewear, intimates, underwear, socks, and accessories. Execute on-model, off-model, tabletop, packaging, still-life, laydown, lifestyle, and editorial photography. Create engaging PDP product videos, social media content, marketing videos, and brand storytelling assets. Capture and edit content optimized for multiple platforms including e-commerce, social media, digital advertising, retail, livestreaming, and packaging. Apply brand photography and video standards to ensure consistency in lighting, color, composition, motion, and visual storytelling. Translate creative briefs and marketing objectives into compelling visual content. Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize and execute innovative photo and video solutions. Support marketing campaigns, collaborations, seasonal launches, and special initiatives with timely visual asset delivery. Maintain consistency across all Gildan brands while adapting content to meet the unique needs of each brand and channel. Actively participate in pre-production, production, and post-production planning for both photography and video projects. Identify new opportunities to enhance product storytelling through motion, video, animation, livestreaming, and emerging social content formats. Video & Livestream Production Operate professional video equipment for studio and location productions. Produce and support livestream events, social broadcasts, and interactive shopping experiences. Capture, edit, and optimize short-form and long-form video content for marketing, PDP, social media, and corporate communication needs. Manage video workflows including shooting, ingesting, editing, color correction, audio management, export, and delivery. Stay current on evolving social media trends, content formats, and platform requirements to maximize engagement and performance. Support the continued growth of Gildan's video production capabilities and content output. Studio Operations & Asset Management Manage studio photography and video sessions, digital capture workflows, file preparation, and asset processing. Oversee image and video file conversions, uploads, and delivery requirements. Set up and break down photo and video studio environments. Assist with studio set construction including backdrops, flooring, props, painting, and production staging. Organize, tag, archive, and manage all photography and video assets following established procedures. Ensure all deliverables meet technical specifications across multiple channels and platforms. Monitor and maintain photography, video, and livestream equipment inventories. Coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and upgrades as needed. Participate in weekly creative planning sessions to develop content strategies and production schedules. Qualifications Proven professional experience in both photography and videography, including product, fashion, e-commerce, and lifestyle content creation. Demonstrated portfolio showcasing strong photography, video production, editing, and visual storytelling skills. Strong understanding of studio lighting, camera operation, composition, motion capture, and production techniques. Experience producing content specifically for social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns. Working knowledge of post-production workflows including image editing, video editing, color correction, and retouching. Ability to independently manage multiple projects and production schedules in a fast-paced creative environment. Experience within an in-house creative studio, retail, fashion, consumer products, or e-commerce organization preferred. Excellent communication and collabosation skills. Technical Expertise Proficiency with studio management platforms such as ShotFlow, Creative Force, Capture One, and TikTok LIVE Studio. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. Experience with Canon EOS camera systems including Canon R5 and 5D series. Experience with Blackmagic Studio Cameras and production workflows. Strong knowledge of livestream production, broadcast workflows, and social video production. Experience with professional audio capture and video lighting systems. Proficiency with Nanlite LED lighting systems and professional studio strobe equipment. Education Bachelor's degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. Experience 5+ years of professional photography and videography experience. Strong portfolio and demo reel demonstrating expertise across product photography, fashion photography, video production, social media content, and commercial storytelling.
