Location 843 E 12th St, Brooklyn, NY 11230, US Position Overview Prepare and cook meals with the ability to read and understand measurements and cooking instructions. Ensure proper stock levels of food are maintained. Key Responsibilities Prepare meals in adherence to the standards of OPWDD’s modified texture requirements and specialized diet orders provided by the dietician. Prepare quantity meals tastefully with minimal waste and spoilage from menus provided by Dietician/Manager. Submit orders to manager in a timely manner. Adhere to Glatt Kosher Dietary Laws as required by the agency’s rabbinical supervision. Other duties as assigned. Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instructions. 1–2 years’ experience cooking and using unsophisticated tools. Knowledge and experience with Kosher dietary laws required. Obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate within 6 months of hire date. Experience 2 to 4 years of experience English proficiency required. Computer Skills Basic computer usage required. Visual & Manual Dexterity Must have ability to use hands skillfully, coordinating and manipulating objects with small, precise movements.
