Registered Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant (RDA/DA)

Redwood Smiles / Image Orthodontics is seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our dental professionals, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other treatments.
• Prepare and organize the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready and sterile.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, medical histories, and progress notes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment care.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking dental supplies.
• Support administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) in California
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Coronal Polishing certificate highly preferred
• Previous experience in a dental office setting is a plus but not required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with dental software and practice management systems is a plus.
