School Occupational Therapist - Round Lake, Illinois

Requirements:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Illinois
• Experience in school-based OT roles or similar pediatric settings
• Knowledge of therapy techniques for children requiring support in motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation
• Comfortable working with students ages 5 through 10
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students' needs to develop personalized therapy plans
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to support access to the curriculum
• Utilize evidence-based practices to help students develop fine motor skills, daily living skills, and adaptive techniques
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required compliance documentation
• Work on-site in collaboration with school staff and parents to maximize student outcomes
