Purchasing - Central Purchasing (Charlotte, NC)

Responsibilities Place orders, expedite back orders for stock and non‑stock equipment/parts, and process requisitions. Research products, clarify specifications, create purchase orders, and follow up on back orders. Select vendors, maintain up‑to‑date product information files, and manage vendor performance evaluations. Assist the Purchasing Manager with auditing and processing physical inventories for branches. Work with standard office equipment and occasionally support other departments such as the central warehouse for vendor issues or discrepancies. Set up and maintain parts, part descriptions, and pricing in SAP. Notify and distribute pricing updates to the sales force and coordinate alternate vendors or supplies during shortages or stock outs. Qualifications At least two years of experience as a buyer or equivalent experience, education, or training. Basic typing skills with emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing. Effective communication skills with sales representatives and all personnel via telephone, in person, or written communication. Ability to work under time constraints in a detailed, organized manner. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with SAP is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr Y-Axis
