Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and accounting experience will be considered.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of accounting, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bookkeeping, or financial reporting experience.
• Experience supporting month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of collections, credit checks, invoicing, and vendor/customer account management.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, manufacturing costs, labor costs, and variance analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Capabilities

• Work is performed in a professional office environment.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday.
• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment for extended periods.

Job Duties

• Analyze manufacturing, labor, and overhead costs and compare actual results to standards to identify cost variances.
• Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor records, setup documentation, and supporting files.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including collections, dispute resolution, past-due invoice follow-up, and credit reviews.
• Support accounts payable functions and other accounting operations as needed.
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
