Mechanical Engineer

An engineering-focused manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and production of specialised electronic and electromechanical products. Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and documenting specialised products while supporting both new product development and ongoing product improvements. Working closely with engineering, production, quality, and product management teams, the successful candidate will contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept generation and prototyping to validation, manufacturing support, and project delivery. Create and develop 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation. Lead design reviews, prototype development, testing, validation, and ECO processes. Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects successfully. Profile The ideal candidate will be a mechanically minded engineer with experience in product design and development within a manufacturing environment. They will possess strong CAD skills, a practical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines while managing competing project priorities. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 2+ years of product design experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. Strong communication, project management, and technical documentation skills.
