About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Sanctions SME - Digital Assets to take on a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and subject matter expertise for sanctions risk management within the digital asset ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and enhancing the sanctions framework that supports digital assets, including stablecoins, tokenized deposits, CBDCs, and other blockchain-enabled or cryptocurrency products. This role demands a deep understanding of global sanctions regimes and the ability to integrate digital asset sanctions requirements into enterprise frameworks. The Vice President will also lead sanctions risk assessments, provide advisory support for new digital asset initiatives, and ensure that the company remains compliant with evolving regulatory standards. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree in a related discipline preferred, and relevant certifications such as CGSS, CAMS, or equivalent. A strong background in sanctions compliance, financial crimes, or regulatory risk management within a global financial institution is essential, with experience in digital assets and emerging financial technologies being a significant advantage. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives. The candidate should be adept at driving innovation, continuous improvement, and organizational learning, and must demonstrate a commitment to integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.
