Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist in the preparation, verification, and distribution of medications within a hospital pharmacy setting. Provide support to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient medication management and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately in the pharmacy system.
• Distribute pharmaceuticals using automated machines such as Talyst and Pyxis.
• Answer clinical questions from nursing staff and healthcare providers.
• Support medication inventory management and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RPh license in North Carolina.
• Possess at least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner EMR and Vigilanz systems.
• Have relevant experience in pediatric and adult pharmaceutical care, including order verification and product checking.
• Be able to handle high-stress environments, multitask effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
