# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry Unit – Tennessee**Start Date:** August 24, 2026 **Location:** Chattanooga, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Variable shifts with every other weekend requirement (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule); 6:1 patient ratio**Highlights:** - 30-bed cardiac telemetry unit specializing in cardiac patient care with experienced leadership team- Advanced cardiac drip management including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone protocols- Comprehensive clinical procedures including chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKG monitoring- Meditech HCA version documentation system with WOW medication administration and Pyxis dispensing- GE telemetry monitoring system with rover capability and Welch Allyn equipment- Strong support staff including unit clerk on day shift, 2-3 PCTs per shift, nursing supervisors, and hospitalist coverage**Requirements:** - Active Tennessee RN license or multistate compact license- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required- Cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred- Proficiency with cardiac drip protocols and telemetry monitoring- Experience with Meditech documentation preferred- Ability to float to general medical-surgical, orthopedics, progressive care, and surgical-oncology units as needed**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** Join a well-established cardiac unit with experienced charge nurses offering 12 to 39 years of tenure, demonstrating exceptional staff retention and team stability.
