Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team. This role offers a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4.
• Perform critical assessments and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float between units as needed to meet patient care demands.
• Participate in ongoing education and skill development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related nursing role.
• Current and valid nursing license (compact license preferred).
• Must hold current certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS.
• Strong skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV sedation, and care for ventilated patients.
• Experience with Epic charting system.

Preferred Experience

• Previous charge experience.
• Community Hospital experience and familiarity with trauma care.

Unit Details

• Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care
• Total Staff Beds: 108
• Scrub Color: Flexible; scrubs provided for relevant areas.
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
• Daily patient diagnoses: Trauma, Stroke, Chest Pain, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, and infectious diseases.
• Available patient rooms: 22, with a capacity of 26 beds.

Working Conditions

• Weekends required every other week.
• Must commit to working three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day).
• Orientation hours: 12.

Additional Information

This position does not require on-call work, and parking is provided free of charge. Candidates may be expected to float to nearby sister facilities if necessary. Strong candidates missing certain required skills or experience may still be considered.
