Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Job Overview Instrumentation and Controls Engineer at Jacobs, Latham, New York. Responsibilities Design and optimize control systems for semiconductor manufacturing and advanced research facilities. Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, design panels, assign I/O, document and model design information. Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards. Work closely with architects, engineers, and designers on new facility projects. Qualifications At least 8 years of experience designing Instrumentation and Control Systems. Working knowledge of PLC, PAC, DDC, DCS systems. Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in Latham, NY. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Strong communication (verbal & written), collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Forward thinking, eagerness to learn best practices and innovate. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Passion for buildings and construction.
