Account Manager

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only)

Our client is a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) specializing in Managed IT Services, Cybersecurity, Cloud Solutions, Microsoft Technologies, AI Enablement, and Strategic IT Consulting. They are seeking an experienced Account Manager to strengthen client relationships, drive account growth, and serve as a trusted technology advisor.

This is not a cold-calling sales role. The focus is on managing an existing portfolio of clients, identifying opportunities to expand services, and partnering with technical teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of client accounts.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business leaders and IT decision-makers.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and strategic account planning sessions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Managed IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Microsoft, AI, and Professional Services offerings.
  • Partner with engineering and service delivery teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate client onboarding for new implementations and acquisitions.
  • Manage renewals, service expansions, and contract discussions.
  • Monitor account health, customer satisfaction, retention, and overall client success.
  • Resolve escalated client concerns while collaborating with internal leadership.
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation, forecasting, and account activity.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Account Management, Customer Success, or Technology Sales experience.
  • Experience working for an MSP, VAR, IT Consulting firm, Technology Services provider, or similar organization strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing existing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of Managed IT Services, Cloud, Microsoft technologies, Cybersecurity, and IT Infrastructure.
  • Comfortable discussing technical solutions with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer relationships simultaneously.
