Middle School Bible Teacher

Middle School Bible Teacher - Responsible for direct instruction and assessment of middle school Bible Studies following the approved curriculum. The individual holding this position must maintain a Christ-like attitude to act as a spiritual leader for the school and community and must be committed to consistently devoting time to personal bible study, prayer, and outreach. Duties include planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials for Bible Studies and other religious subject areas to facilitate active learning and promote enthusiasm for learning; using relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction; assessing and recording student progress and providing grades and feedback; maintaining a tidy and orderly classroom; communicating, consulting, and cooperating with other members of the school staff; maintaining good order and discipline among students and safeguarding their health and safety at all times; maintaining discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school; participating in staff, group, or other meetings related to the school curriculum; encouraging and monitoring the progress of individual students and using information to adjust teaching strategies; and maintaining accurate and complete records of student progress and development.

Position requires (1) Bachelor's degree in Bible Studies, Divinity, or a closely related field. (2) Successful completion of multiple interviews to evaluate the candidates ability to align with Liberty Christian Academy's Mission Statement, manage a classroom, effectively teach Bible lessons to a level of application in the life of the student, and to ensure the candidate's doctrinal views are in line with that of Liberty Christian Academy; that he or she has sufficient knowledge of Scripture to answer biblical questions and disciple students in faith and knowledge of the Gospel; that he or she can provide consistency in teaching the Bible to students as they advance through the Bible Program; and that he or she can rightfully divide the Word of God (Timothy 2:15). (3) Successful completion of background check. (4) Offered salary is $51,310/year.
