About the Position

The preferred shift is 4x12s, but 3x12s may be considered. Patient ratios are 1:2 to 1:3. Every other weekend is required. On-call duty is not required. The traveler will need to float within their scope as necessary. Candidates must have at least two years of ICU experience. First-timers are accepted if they possess the required experience. Candidates must have the necessary license in hand prior to starting. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. CRRT experience is required. The unit has a self-scheduling system, with schedules created every six weeks. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. All requested time off must be submitted with the application. After two call-outs without a documented medical reason, the contract may be canceled. The facility operates a total of 97 staffed beds. The typical daily census is approximately 8-9 patients. The unit includes various interdisciplinary support services. Candidates should be prepared for the hurricane season from June to November. All clinical compliance items must be completed prior to the designated start date. Module completion is required before starting the position. Lab work must be finished within 72 hours of signing or at least two weeks before documentation is due. This position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the unit's needs.
