Police Officer

The Friona Police Department is currently seeking a full-time peace officer. The City of Friona provides health insurance, dental and vision insurance, and retirement through Texas Municipal Retirement System. Applicants should be eager to make a positive difference in our community by providing a proactive approach to law enforcement. Starting pay rate is $42,000/yr. Depending on experience. $45,000/yr. Requirements Prospective applicants must currently be TCOLE certified peace officers in good standing. Applicants must have at least a class C Texas driver license. You must be 21 years of age. Have high school diploma/ GED Must be a U.S. citizen Clean background Officers will be required to perform shift work. Officer's must be knowledgeable of the laws of the State of Texas and be able to enforce those laws.
