Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-week assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation and acute care setting at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Independence, MO.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit (16-bed) and acute care setting within a 285-bed Level 2 Trauma Center
- Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend rotation of 1 weekend every 6 weeks, with flex days off on weekdays when working weekends
- Patient ratios: 12:1 in acute care, 4-5:1 in inpatient rehab
- EMR: Meditech
- No on-call requirements
- Team of 14 OT staff, including 11 acute care OTs and 4 rehab OTs on day shift
- 12-week contract
Requirements
- Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience, with active practice within the last 6 months
- Acute care and/or inpatient rehab experience preferred
- Two professional references required for this Missouri-based position
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform evaluations and treatments, including ADLs and mobility
- Utilize rehab gym equipment and standard rehabilitation supplies
- Eggplant-colored scrubs required
- Facility features an active department employee engagement group, employee of the month recognition, and team-building activities
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers are not specified as excluded, but allied candidates must have experience within the last 6 months
