Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:00-18:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Positive attitude, willingness to work as a team Description: Call will be required for this position. One weekend per month with two first call and two second call weekdays. There are 10 beds in the unit. Patient ratios are 1:1. Staffing includes a manager, board runner, holding nurse, surgical attendants, and anesthesia technician. Type of equipment includes hana bed, DaVinci XI, MAKO, and Velys for hip and knee procedures. Documentation is managed through Meditech. The unit performs orthopedic, general, urology, gynecology, and ENT procedures. The unit handles over 1,300 total joints per year and 550 DaVinci robot procedures annually. A work-friendly environment is emphasized. The operating hours for elective cases are from 07:00 to 18:30. Call shifts are from 18:30 to 07:00 for first call and from 18:30 to 21:00 for second call. Weekend call involves a 48-hour shift. The average number of cases per day ranges from 25 to 35.
