We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and in-process components to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier partners in a fast-paced production and prototyping environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections on raw materials and work-in-process parts.
• Review and maintain incoming material history records to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and GD&T requirements to verify product conformity.
• Create and maintain inspection templates while ensuring documentation aligns with current drawing revisions and specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
• Initiate and complete non-conformance reports (NCRs), including root cause details and corrective action recommendations.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
• Prepare and clean parts for cleanroom applications following established procedures.
• Calibrate, audit, and maintain precision measurement equipment to ensure inspection accuracy.
• Support qualification and validation of new inspection and testing equipment.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects related to quality, manufacturing, and inspection processes.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including:
• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Height gauges
• Optical inspection equipment
• Ability to perform and document incoming, in-process inspections.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Basic understanding of machine shop mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing and office setting. Employees may work around moving mechanical equipment, precision measuring instruments, automation systems, and fabrication processes. The role requires standing, inspecting components, documenting results, and collaborating across departments in a fast-paced production environment. Experience working in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thornton, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
