QA Automation lead

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a QA Automation lead in Miami, FL.Summary:We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to drive quality initiatives across mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms. This role will be responsible for designing and maintaining automated test frameworks, executing hands-on testing activities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms
• Execute manual testing activities including functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, and user workflow validation
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and defect reports using JIRA and Xray
• Develop automation solutions using no-code and low-code testing platforms
• Write and maintain Java-based automation scripts and testing utilities for API, integration, and custom testing requirements
• Configure and support API mocking and service virtualization environments using WireMock
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to identify, reproduce, and resolve software defects
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation sessions, and retrospectives
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality validation throughout the release process
• Document automation frameworks, testing strategies, and best practices to promote knowledge sharing and process consistency

Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and mobile test automation
• Strong experience testing iOS and Android applications, services, and Hybris-based environments
• Proven hands-on experience with both automated and manual testing techniques
• Experience using JIRA and Xray for test management, execution tracking, and reporting
• Experience with no-code or low-code automation platforms such as Sofy.ai, Maestro, TestProject, Katalon, or similar tools
• Hands-on experience configuring and utilizing WireMock for API simulation and service virtualization
• Solid Java programming experience for automation development and framework customization
• Deep understanding of software testing principles, test design methodologies, defect management, and SDLC processes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate testing results and project status to technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium or Espresso
• Familiarity with cloud or on-premise device farm solutions
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD environments using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Experience testing GraphQL APIs
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent test maintenance platforms
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerized test environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
