Job Overview Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for VHS Rehab. Working Hours and Compensation Full-time, part-time and per diem opportunities available! Same Day Pay! Employee Referral Bonus! 30, 60 or 90 day contracts available! Weekend incentives available! Base salary: $35‑50/hr all inclusive Responsibilities Assist the physician in evaluating the patient’s level of function. Assess the patient’s home environment for safety hazards and architectural barriers, and identify equipment needs. Identify functional problems and establish goals and a plan of care designed to improve the patient’s functional status. Guide the patient in therapeutic, creative, and self‑care activities to improve function. Perform and complete recertifications, resumption‑of‑care, and discharge activities. Conduct comprehensive OASIS assessments and related paperwork in accordance with agency policy. Instruct patient, family members, and other health team members to perform or assist with selective treatment procedures and functional activities. Confere with the family, referring physician, and other agency staff to obtain information for coordinated, efficient, and quality patient care. Perform and submit required documentation of patient evaluations, plans of care, clinical notes, progress reports, and summaries with changes in orders. All visit notes must be turned in on the next scheduled workday, not to exceed 48 hours. Maintain necessary statistical and billing data. Orient, instruct, and supervise the home health aide every two weeks in carrying out specific occupational therapy modalities. Qualifications Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum. Accredited by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Licensed in the state of practice. CPR certification.
