Java Microservices Kafka Architect
Location: Boston, MA-Hybrid-3 days office
Duration: 6+ Months
Must Have Skills:
- Java + Microservices Spring Boot + Kafka
- Good to have GraphQL or React
- Exp: 10 - 15 Yrs
- As a Solutions Architect, you’ll have a multitude of opportunities to flex your strengths and knowledge on Java, DevOps, and Microservice. The team is responsible for building out a number of services that power our ecommerce site and core ecommerce platform.
- Design, architect and implement flexible, robust, and scalable Java microservices
- Define and ensure services are built to industry best practices, including observability, architectural patterns, and inter-team dependency mechanisms (like SLOs)
- Work closely with architects and other teams across the product to breakdown an existing PHP monolith into well-defined Java Microservices with clean boundaries and clear API contracts
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and peer engineering teams to define project requirements and execution plans
- Work closely with our partners on the product Platform and Product experience teams to build out a best-in-class new platform
What You’ll Need:
- 6+ years of experience designing and architecting large-scale distributed systems
- 6+ years of experience building Java Microservices
- 4+ years of experience with DevOps and service ownership
- 2+ years of experience working in a cloud native environment (AWS, GCP, etc)
- A proven track record of microservice architectural design and API development
