The clinical scope of our practice is wide with treatments and techniques including VMAT, SRS, SBRT, DIBH, HDR brachytherapy, LDR brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceuticals.General ObjectivesAs a member of the radiation oncology team, administers ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating diseases.Demonstrates general understanding of anatomy and physiology pathology, medical terminology, oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, radiation oncology techniques, radiation safety and the psychosocial aspects of cancer toward the end.EducationSuccessful completion of a radiation therapy training program, R.T. (T) certification and maintaining certification.ExperienceExperience in the area of Radiation Oncology is preferred, but not required. We are considering all levels of experience for this position.SkillsWorking knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations pertaining to radiation therapyAbility to interpret and deliver treatments per plans and relevant treatment protocolsExperience with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems and electronic medical recordsExperience with the following techniques required: Breath Hold, SRS and SBRT, Superficial and HDRWorking knowledge of Mosaiq highly preferred; Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
