Salary and Compensation

Starting Salary: $35,264.16 annually (Hiring Rate). Immediate Growth: Earn a 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing your probation period (if starting at Hiring Rate). Starting Rate Flexibility: Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and experience, subject to final management approval. Please Note: Candidates approved to start above the Hiring Rate (at or above the Minimum Permanent rate) are not eligible for the 2.5% post-probation increase. Future Increases: Annual cost-of-living adjustments (applied on July 1) are subject to State Legislature approval.

Job Description

This classification level performs clerical work under immediate supervision in a county court under the supervision of a clerk magistrate, a clerk of court, or a division manager. Responsibilities may include: performing clerical functions in assigned service area such as criminal/traffic, civil/small claims, or probate, guardian conservator and adoption by responding to routine inquiries; verifying files/information for missing details, accuracy, and distributing to appropriate staff for correction; preparing and processing motions; compiling and maintaining records by sorting, filing, scanning files and related documents; performing data entry, receiving fees/fines and other payments, and performing other general office duties.
