Facilities Engineer

Description: 

ENG- Design, commission, and support mechanical building systems with a focus on HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) controls. Develop complete engineering packages from initial heating and cooling load calculations through system programming, commissioning, and performance validation. Coordinate facility improvement projects while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, project schedules, and operational requirements.

#Education & Job Requirements

*Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years of experience or a Master's degree with 6-8 years of experience
*5+ years of experience designing HVAC systems, calculating heating and cooling loads, and delivering complete mechanical engineering packages
*5+ years of experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), controls, system commissioning, programming sequences of operation, and validating system performance
*Experience planning, designing, and overseeing the maintenance, reconfiguration, and modification of facilities, equipment, machinery, and building systems
*Ability to develop engineering design criteria, review construction feasibility, prepare layouts, estimate project costs, and coordinate with architecture and engineering firms
*Knowledge of construction inspections, installation oversight, and ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and project schedules
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, engineering specifications, and construction documents

*Experience with HVAC controls
*Experience using AutoCAD
*Experience with Building Management System (BMS) controls and facility automation

*Design HVAC and mechanical building systems supporting facility operations
*Calculate heating and cooling loads and develop complete engineering packages
*Program Building Management System (BMS) sequences of operation and validate system performance
*Plan and oversee the maintenance, alteration, and reconfiguration of facilities, equipment, and machinery
*Coordinate with architecture and engineering firms to develop design criteria and detailed layouts
*Prepare bid packages, contracts, and project cost estimates for construction and facility improvements
*Inspect construction and installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and project schedules
*Support system commissioning and final operational validation
