Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care for cardiac telemetry patients in a high-acuity medical unit. Deliver patient-centered care utilizing telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess new admissions and monitor cardiac telemetry data continuously.
• Administer cardiac medications and drips such as Amio, Diltiazem, Dopa, Dobutamine, Milirone, Lasix, and Insulin.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during procedures including cardiac caths, ablations, and cardioversions.
• Document patient care, vital signs, and telemetry findings accurately in the EMR system.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, including arrhythmias or hemodynamic instability.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and floating guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure with current license in the state.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience.
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to float within similar units as needed.
