What your day looks like

You arrive for your 8-hour shift ready to keep production moving. First up: review the day’s product specifications and blueprints, then stage each unit for testing—fill required fluids, install test instruments, and preset controls. You’ll verify wiring and flow against the correct documentation, run formal tests with calibrated equipment, and capture measurements. You calculate results, perform final runs, and prepare finished units and test-related components for shipment. Throughout the day, you’ll maintain a clean, well-organized workstation and keep a precise daily time log on manufacturing/production travelers. When priorities shift, you’ll jump in on additional assignments from your supervisor. Overtime may be requested, and punctuality is essential.

Core responsibilities

• Interpret product specs and blueprints to plan test activities.
• Set up units for test: fill fluids, install instrumentation, preset controls.
• Verify wiring and fluid flows using approved documentation.
• Execute tests with the proper procedures and equipment.
• Record, compute, and analyze test data; perform final run checks.
• Prepare units and test-related items for shipment.
• Maintain orderly housekeeping in your work area.
• Log daily work on manufacturing/production travelers.
• Support additional tasks as directed by supervision.

What you bring

• 2+ years of directly related experience with broad familiarity across machines, equipment, and tools used for testing and production.
• Fluent in reading drawings; confident using a measuring scale or tape.
• Ability to move safely over uneven surfaces and in restricted areas.
• Comfort climbing ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods; work in tight spaces.
• Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, air conditioning, and diesel engine applications.
• EPA 40 CFR 82 Subpart F refrigerant handling certification (Type II or Universal) preferred, not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Schedule

Choose one of two steady weekday shifts (8 hours/day, Monday–Friday):

• 1st Shift: 6:30am–3:00pm
• 2nd Shift: 3:00pm–11:30pm (7% shift differential)
